MEDICATING HUNGER SINCE 2011

Specializing in gourmet tacos and craft beer, Taco Asylum offers an escape from the ordinary taco shop with an approachable, globally-inspired menu featuring fresh ingredients with our signature adventurous mindset.

Chef Carlos Anthony and his team start each day preparing our food from scratch and applying classic cooking techniques to create a range of meat, seafood, and vegetarian options for every palate. The menu is continuously refreshed with frequent specials inspired by local farmer’s markets and exotic proteins.

Our tacos are complemented by a balanced craft beer selection, which changes regularly to feature some of the best draft and canned brews from all over the place. Our daily prepared aqua frescas, flavored lemonades, and iced teas help to put out the fire from our housemade specialty hot sauces. WARNING: our mild is not your mild.

We believe food is another medium for artistic expression, and are strong supporters of those who have something important to say. With a rotating art, film, and music program, we believe in honoring different, but doing things with purpose and conviction.

  • “Taco Asylum Goes Solo, Brings Back Big Tacos”

    The revised menu, introduced on Sunday, includes about a dozen gourmet tacos served on 6-inch corn or flour tortillas prepared daily by a boutique tortilla supplier. Specialty tacos, priced from $4 to $7, include banh mi, duck mole, and bacon with peanut butter and jelly.
